Απόφαση ΔΣ/ΕΕΦ 04-05-2026

Το ΔΣ της ΕΕΦ στην Συνεδρίαση της 04-05-2026 αποφάσισε ομόφωνα να  προβεί στην δημοσίευση του κατωτέρω κειμένου:

«Η προαγωγή και διάδοση στην Ελλάδα των Φυσικών Επιστημών και των εφαρμογών αυτών, καθώς επίσης και η βελτίωση της θέσης των μελών αυτής μέσω του διαφωτισμού της κοινωνίας και της πολιτείας σχετικά με αυτά» είναι σκοπός της  ΕΕΦ (Καταστατικό  άρθρο 2)

Συνεπώς, η ΕΕΦ, σύμφωνα με τον θεσμικό της ρόλο, δεν γνωμοδοτεί για θέματα που στερούνται επαρκούς τεκμηρίωσης (καταχωρημένα δεδομένα, στατιστική ανάλυση, μαθηματική επεξεργασία, επικύρωση προβλέψεων).

Η ΕΕΦ, στο παρελθόν, υπέστη αρνητική κοινωνική κριτική (Καθημερινή, Ellinika Hoaxes) διότι μέλη της, συμμετείχαν σε συζητήσεις θεμάτων ανεπαρκώς τεκμηριωμένων.

Τα μέλη της ΕΕΦ, εκφράζουν βεβαίως προσωπικές απόψεις για όλα τα ζητήματα, ως ενεργοί πολίτες που συμβάλλουν στον κοινωνικό διάλογο.

Η επίμοχθη διάκριση του επιστημονικού λόγου από τον φιλοσοφικό στοχασμό, την καλλιτεχνική δημιουργία και την θεολογία, αποτελεί προϋπόθεση για την εναρμόνιση και σύνθεση της ανθρώπινης εμπειρίας.

Το ΔΣ της ΕΕΦ

HPS BD Decision 04-05-2026

The Board of Directors of the Hellenic Physical Society (HPS), at its meeting on 04-05-2026, unanimously decided to proceed with the publication of the following text:

“The promotion and dissemination in Greece of the Physical Sciences and their applications, as well as the improvement of the position of its members through informing society and the state about them”is the purpose of the HPS (Statute, Article 2).

Therefore, the HPS, in accordance with its institutional role, does not issue opinions on matters that lack sufficient documentation (recorded data, statistical analysis, mathematical processing, validation of predictions).

In the past, the HPS was subject to negative public criticism (Kathimerini, Ellinika Hoaxes) because some of its members participated in discussions on insufficiently substantiated issues.

The members of the HPS, of course, express personal opinions on all matters, as active citizens who contribute to public dialogue.

The demanding distinction of scientific discourse from philosophical reflection, artistic creation, and theology constitutes a prerequisite for the harmonization and synthesis of human experience.
